Graphic design is more than just aesthetics or an image that looks nice. It is a form of communication between your business and your audience! Businesses use graphics at every interval of marketing to inform, delight and eventually convert consumers to purchase.
For example, if you want to buy a new pair of trainers online and you find the exact same pair in two different online stores. One of them the website doesn’t look all too good, the images are just basic photos taken from phones and there’s nothing too pleasing to look at.
On the other hand, the other store has beautiful graphics right on the home page. The image of the trainers is clean, crisp, professional. Only downside being the price of the product is a few pounds more. Which one do you think you would still rather buy from?
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (or any other social site for that matter), when you come across a random advert, what makes you look at it? Is it the fact that its advertising something you never knew about? Or is it more likely the image/video, the graphic design that caught your attention?
More than 85% of consumers say if the visuals aren’t aesthetically pleasing or grabbing their attention they probably wouldn’t read into it any further and would carry on scrolling.

Many people ask, what’s the difference between logo and branding? Isn’t it essentially the same thing? The answer, is yes and no.
Logo design is the process of creating a unique graphic that represents your company. Much like a mascot for a team. It will be the one identifying item that should be recognisable and associated with your company. Hence, a good logo design is absolutely crucial.
Branding, on the other hand, is defining your brand. By this, we mean setting a theme for your brand or your company. This could be as simple as colour layouts matching across products or materials. It could be setting purposes, values and promises that suit the company or brand.
It could even be, making sure designs are amalgamated across different aspects of the company. For instance, our website, The logo uses a pink phoenix graphic, the majority of it is not pink, just the graphic. The majority of the logo (text) is white. Therefore, our website, uses hints of pink in certain spots, the background is mainly white. In Conclusion, this makes the design look in “sync”. (For want of a better word)
Is print really dead? Of course not! Far from actually, its only just evolved! Whilst high street printing solutions are no longer in the competition online printing is still very much alive and kicking!
In fact, going with online printing, being so cheap means people are printing more now than ever before!
